Middle aged, middle class guy – my job was replaced by automation and my other 3 jobs pay less than my 1 career I used to have. Also, I don’t have benefits. My wife left me and took the kids, the bank took my house. Now I live on a mattress on the floor in some run down studio apartment in a sketchy part of town. I’m a functioning alcoholic and I’m even thinking about progressing into opioids because they’re more cost effective. I probably have liver problems and cancer is probably looming overhead. Mortality rates are spiking for dudes like me and retirement is a complete afterthought. I’m just trying to get into the good graces of my daughter who’s in college and hope I don’t see her in one of those laptop movies on the internet. Never mind, I don’t have a laptop and I use a flip phone lol

  • Nived_Neirbo 6 years ago on What Country Clubs Need To Change To Attract Millennials

What if they made country clubs like an endangered species conservation effort where the land is completely fenced off and we can watch pasty old rich fucks whack a ball around as they discuss their portfolios and capital ventures and then once in awhile, they let millennial poachers enter the fenced land and take them out for “population control”. After a few years of this, you’ll start to see more capital begin to seep into the economy and maybe Millennials will finally be able to afford country club memberships and eventually have this happen to them. It’s the new circle of life, guys lol

Thanks, Will. Sorry everyone, I’ve been caught up in meetings which hopefully in the next 10 years won’t need to happen anymore due to automation and all of us being replaced which is part of the 3rd option. Once automation takes over and displaces the majority of us, society will have to be restructured as I mentioned yesterday. Universal Basic Income predicated off the growth of productivity output is the best solution if done right. We’d be living off the efficient and scalable work done by robots and algorithms instead of each other and the poor. This will change Capitalism as we know it and instead of it being a monetization entrapment for the elite to take advantage of everyone else(which it is currently) we can pivot to a resource based economy to establish an equilibrium with our living environment before we completely destroy it if we haven’t already…..”lol”

Dillon, just tell management that she made insensitive remarks about Native Americans and Thanksgiving and you felt that your lives were in danger. This will force them to act on it and is cause for a warrant and i guarantee that this woman has enough prescription drugs for mental illness to justify evicting her because at the end of the day this country doesn’t value helping with mental illness or poverty whatsoever so enjoy capitalism while it’s still around and capitalize on this massive opportunity since tensions are super high lol

Force corporations to omit offices before they turn them into “live-in luxury labor camps” and then take the overhead savings from not having offices/utilities/parking/food/coffee/tech and roll it into employee salaries and bonuses where they can work from home or at a coffee shop in order to further stimulate this consumer riddled system. Then turn those vacant offices into affordable housing until all human jobs become automated and then we move off this planet before we incinerate ourselves with our sheer stupidity lol

Also, creativity can’t be automated…yet so maybe let your kid paint whatever the fuck he wants instead of forcing him to get some shitty job to understand the value of a dollar when in reality it doesn’t have much value so that he/she can thrive in the post collapse world

Post scarcity with universal basic income that increases as productivity output increases as a dividend to the people who’s tax dollars paid for such R&D on this new technology before it was dissipated to the private sector. This will only be able to work if we decouple labor with money and market value and rethink our entire societal structure by focusing on resources based means and eliminating greedy, egotistical people with highly trained attack robots lol

  • Nived_Neirbo 6 years ago on The 5 Weirdest Things I Stumbled Across During Prime Day

Folks, when you dig into the economics of automation, it tells a terrible tale. As I’ve said before about how productivity has skyrocketed the past 25 years while wages have remained flat, the silent killer isn’t immigrants, outsourcing, or poor people like the people at the top want you to believe, it’s automation and the massive investments that companies have put toward it especially after the 2008 economic downturn. They realized that they could do far more with far less amd even if prices of goods and services are valued less than they were, they can make up for that in sheer volume due to massive efficiency increases and that has been the story since. After each successive downturn, the labor market has shrunk and so have overall wages relative to the size. Money is hyper concentrated in a small pool while the population of people keeps increasing. This means that the people who once had job security, benefits, and a livable wage from one source who were replaced by automation, either couldn’t/can’t find work with their current skills, or they voluntarily took multiple “gig” jobs and lesser skilled jobs for less pay just to survive and this doesn’t even factor in software automation or AI yet. The “unemployment rate” % is extremely misleading after you delve into the details of those “new” jobs that are created. Now factor in a steady decrease in disposable income and it causes a problem even for the companies like Amazon because without consumers, they are in trouble which is why price slashes for the sake of volume is shrinking their margins and bloating their operational costs which is why their ecommerce arm of their business is still not profitable. How else does Amazon and other companies like them fuck things up for the future? For every job they create, more than 2 are eliminated due to automation and the jobs that are created by them, only a small % are high paying with high job security. There’s a reason why they are tracking their warehouse employees wrist movements and speed because one they have enough data they will automate that operation too just in the name of efficiency so that people can get their bullsbit products they probably don’t need that are paid for with credit which leads to the next problem. There’s already a huge amount of debt outstanding that is already unplayable, now factor in automation and labor loss and you have a bunch of displaced people who can’t pay their debts back and that my friends will lead to an economic collapse that will make 2008 look like a 10% Bitcoin swing on a random Tuesday lol

Just wait until those robot vacuums come with a detachable Mouth piece for dude’s penises and they start gathering data and iterating the product to make them orgasm faster all because they want us to get cleaned up and get back to work because that’s the only reason why we need to be alive for now in their eyes lol

  • Nived_Neirbo 6 years ago on Four Thankless Jobs That Everyone's Had At Some Point In Their Life

Since the modern business world is all about “synergy” we should start a corporation that combines these two businesses especially now since everyone is trying to make guns illegal and diseases are getting more immune to Medicine…we’d have the potential to become rich and then still not matter in the overall scheme of life lol
