I’ve actually been to several. I like the sport. The guys that play it at a high level are crazy skilled. It’s just not personal for me like other sports are.
I’ve been on the other side of this “why isn’t this more popular dilemma” with lacrosse for my whole life. It’s not worth worrying about. I love, and that’s good enough for me.
I’ll put it this way: I grew playing football, basketball, lacrosse, baseball, and golf at different levels and play and /or follow all of those still. At some point you run out of time you want to devote to being a fan.
I’m not a huge fan of the move. I also just generally prefer calling people on the phone if it’s a situation that would require more than 1 quick response, though. I’m probably an outlier in that regard.
If we’re talking about watching sports, I would argue that Eastern Time is the best for actually attending a game. Not a ton of tailgate time available with kickoff before noon.
To be fair, I don’t care enough about any west coast teams to stay up until 2 am watching them, so I may not be giving that the same weight as others.
Richmond high school refs are brutal. I’ve seen a single ref call a block and charge on the same play/collision before and neither one was overruled. Basket counted, but no free throw.
Another time, a kid got fouled on a 3 at the buzzer (down by 3). Refs ruled that since the ball hit the rim after the buzzer, the game was over and the player did not get to shoot free throws. I’m pretty sure that one was an intentional screw-job.
NoVa is a region with an economy based entirely on leeching off the federal government. Obviously that’s a very lucrative model, but it’s not one that leads to being very highly thought of by the rest of the state, especially when that region is mostly transplants. It’s a rare case where two regions of the same state both look down on each other.

I like hockey fine. I just never played it (and didn’t know anyone who did) and don’t have a particular rooting interest in it.
It looks like a great sport. It’s just not relatable.
The problem with California is that Californians live there.

I wouldn’t put it on brisket, but it’s so good on pulled pork
Eastern NC for barbecue
Neutral on pizza. I didn’t notice a significant difference when I lived in NY vs. other places. Just depends on the joint.
I may be an asshole. I’m not wrong, though.
