Definitely don’t sleep on it. Philly is cheap (especially post-LA) & close enough to DC to regularly visit. If you breeze through the dating pool, New York is also super close by. An easy Amtrak ride away to either city.
That last paragraph really got me. Awaiting Texas down votes, but the fact that it is so abysmally expensive yet people still move there is testament enough to why CA is the best state in the union.
