What you get out of an internship is largely what you put into it. Bullshit work, of course, but it’s more about networking than actually doing “real” work.
More companies are starting to ban unpaid internships altogether, though (thank god).
I know exactly what you meant, but it’s a stupid point to make and you know it. Feel free to continue thinking you’re enlightened for realizing that far-lefties and far-righties are just as annoying as the other, though.
What a surprise that tolerant people would like you to be tolerant of gay people wanting basic rights such as marriage. Do you also get mad when minorities are “intolerant” towards racists?
Nitehawk in Williamsburg has drink specials for each movie (Spring Breakers had Sex on the Beach, that was fun). Angelika has drinks too, but both mostly play art house films.
LA is bigger on this, though. ArcLight, The Bridge and a few others do 21+ screenings.
Museum/gallery then bar. You get to act all smart, then you get to get hammered: best of both worlds. Plus if you like the art it gives you a chance to have a meaningful discussion, and if you hate it you can just make fun of it later.
I definitely never spent one the first days of college downloading a GBA emulator and every Pokemon game to play instead of paying attention during lectures…
Fuck the go-getter? Following most of the advice on this list sounds like a great way to end up middle-aged, stuck in middle-management, and having a mid-life crisis.
Say what you will about this generation, but I’d rather be a 20-something idiot taking chances and making bad decisions left and right than some guy that settled into a shitty job because he didn’t want to stir the pot.
Treehouse has some great web/app design courses if you ever get the chance. Great for your resume if you want basic tech skills without getting hardcore into coding.
Let’s not give up on life before we graduate?
Hulu Plus has Community (RIP?) and Parks & Rec, therefore Hulu Plus wins. Then again, I’m not even sure whose Hulu account I’m logged into…

Upside Down Square? Is there something I’m missing or is that just a slice of Sicilian?
Not the most popular choice, but my favorite slice in NY is the artichoke slice at Artichoke on 14th. Heavenly.

Go around decorating other people’s cubicles and don’t tell them what it’s for.

Smuggling alcohol into theaters? Does the rest of the country not have theaters that serve alcohol?
God bless you for posting this.

“OMG whaaaat? I have NO idea where all that went. Maybe we have mice.”
Next time, please ask before you quote me (yes, I’m THAT roommate).

Used to work with a guy that watched a Nicolas Cage movie every day until he’d seen every single one. Can’t say it wasn’t a great use of his time.

Ugh, that t-shirt. Streetwear nerds are the absolute worst kind of people.

Did you see the recent doc about Jodorowsky’s Dune, Knox? Even crazier looking than Lynch’s.
Also, if there’s any sci-fi that needs to be remade it’s Logan’s Run.
With you until sex in video games. Sorry, but creepy CGI sex is the last thing I want in the middle of a GTA5 marathon session.
Mike… foreplay, and, if you have to, lube exist.
