Yeah, well a few things about that:
-I’d love to buy a house, but when you and your wife graduate from college and are lucky to get $12/hour jobs, good luck trying to find a house that you can afford, will get financing for, and isn’t a complete shitshack.
-Loyalty to employers…hah! When you get let go on a conference call, and get told in private meetings that you’re not consistent, that kind of loyalty that was present in the boomer era is kind of out the window.
-Avocado toast…well, I’ve never had it so I’m not touching that one.
Every day is wanting to wake up at 6, but rolling over and spooning with my wife and then my wife wakes me up at 7, then I’m rushing around making two breakfasts and assembling my lunch and getting dressed. If I’m lucky I’m out the door by 8:15-8:20, jumping on the toll way for the commute.
Aurora is a fucking shithole. I hate it here. Only reason we are here is my wife got a job here(and she’s closer to Naperville and Oswego than Aurora) and the rent is cheap. The only damn thing that was in that movie that is in Aurora is White Castle. Honestly, I don’t think anyone in Aurora gives a shit that WW was filmed here. The only people that care are my friends that live out of state. Only damn good things about this dump are the pizza places and Two Brothers Brewing Company.
I disagree. My wife and I really liked Kenosha, WI. We are Chicago natives and it felt like a mini-Chicago. We live in Aurora IL now and it’s awful. Not all suburbs are created equal.
I have really two best friends from college. They were ushers in my wedding.
The author didn’t listen to Defries, clearly 😛
She could make her own breakfast if she wanted, I have chosen to for the 2 years we’ve lived together.
Oh snap…
My family and I did it a lot when I was a kid. It’s nice to explore every once in a while.

Green Line is the SHIT.
Would you recommend the Ambassador? My birthday is coming up, and I may want to do a nice hotel with the wife.
Is it? It’s pretty good for the most part. I have a couple interviews Monday for jobs making significantly more than I’m making now.
Working tomorrow and going to an annual concert of a chorus that a family friend is in Sunday.
The Volvo C30 is awesome, I’ve driven one, I’d buy one if the Euro reliability didn’t scare me. I LOVE the shooting brake style of it.
Oh well
I get mehs all the time. At this point it doesn’t matter.
My wife won’t let me buy a Hellcat. PGP.
Sup?
My sister lives in Indiana. I’d choose Chicago over Indiana in a heartbeat.

I never lived on the water to begin with. I lived in the south suburbs, then moved to a nicer suburb(Wheaton IL) and now Aurora.
