I know this makes me a piece of shit, but if you request your cancellation fee to be refunded (in my experience) Uber will do it without question 95% of the time. Takes all of 15 seconds, you can actually do this in the app.
Was taught from a young age that almost all personality traits can be forgiven & forgotten, but cheapness sticks around forever. Best lesson I ever learned.
Staying late/arriving early is not that bad and, at some companies, is a basic expectation for junior employees. I’ll gladly take Mon-Thurs pulling a 7-7 or an 8-8 if it means that I can leave at 3 or 4 on Friday afternoons w/o Beth from HR giving me a hassle. The benefits far exceed the costs IMO (obviously this changes over the course of your career & as your life responsibilities shift)

It gets the people going.
Classic Michigan douchebag response right here.

Existential Duda is back and I’m loving every second of it.

Much appreciated.
I’ve got a 2 week (18 day) trip to Central Europe coming up and debating on whether doing carry on or checking a bag. What’s the correct move?

I usually toss on OCC (S/O Clam gang) during lifting. I’ve always found that music prevents me from getting a consistent workout tempo.
I’ve taken one out of an ashtray before… Definitely feel your shame.
Having gone through it, would definitely agree with this. Usually just exhausted by the time you got to the bar.
