By the way….if Austin is so great, why do people have to constantly talk about how great Austin is and hold their noses up at every other city? And put transfers down even though the majority of Austinites are transfers?
I was born at Seaton so I can call myself an ex Austinite.
I was born and raised in Austin. Yes, it USED to be a great city. People were great and were not pretentious and “weird”! It wasn’t overpopulated and outsiders were welcome to bring their views the literary “capital”.
I got out. I now live in the truly innovative and liberal New York City.
I still go “home” to Austin regularly, but every time I cringe with the awful changes.
New Yorkers could care less about where you came from. The city has amazing public transportation and the culture is unbeatable!
