I’m always confused when I see the splitting the bill one. All the groups I’ve ever been with and even waiters have assumed separate checks with what each person got, is it abnormal that I’ve always done this (not that I’m the one asking for separate checks but I’m always in groups who have)
Had a job in high school as a softball umpire. Was awful getting yelled at by 10 year old girls and their parents. Parents refuse to believe their kid is anything less than a future D1 athlete, even when their kid is picking flowers in the outfield.
I actually had this happen to me in college. It definitely wasn’t this much but I got the email and knew I hadn’t made the payment. It was a bitch and I had to fight with them over online chat (idk if it’s changed but they don’t have phones so you can’t call) and had to go back and forth and send all sorts of pics of my bank account to prove I didn’t pay the money. Still use Venmo but super cautious about it and constantly checking things
