A little while ago I came across an article claiming in france it is considered boring to ask about someone’s work, so I started asking people what they do for fun. Turns out most people watch Netflix for fun.
The key is to be super productive right when you start then do a slow fade. Unlike a relationship, your boss doesnt have time to really notice and all they have is their initial impression of you. Bonus points for asking your boss if they’ve gotten to X task yet which you need to do your work; the fear of holding up a “high performer” will make sure they’re not focused on your productivity.
When I was 5 I asked my parents for a PlayStation and was told “if you can afford it you can buy it” didnt own any console of any kind until I bought a switch earlier this year, and its 100% worth every penny.
Different industry but all three of my jobs have come from online applications. At the companies ive been at you have to fill out an application even if the program knows they want to hire you and still go through the “talent acquisition” process.
I think the big question here is whether you utilized the hole in the ice or not. The mental image of a guy spread eagle across the floor of a ice fishing shack with his ass dangling above sub0 water is fantastic.
If food or service is terrible I won’t tip. Its called gratuity for a reason, im not going to be grateful when im forced to eat the ice out of my water glass or my artisan roll is actually a wonder bread roll. Conversely when the food is fantastic and rhe service is great ive thrown out 30-50% tips on some $150+ bills.
100% this, companies decided loyalty to employees was too expensive when they got rid of pensions and now dont understand why employees aren’t blindly loyal anymore. As the first generation with no access to pensions (minus government workers) the best way to live a comfortable retirement is to make as much money as we can right now. We literally cant afford to be “loyal” and pass up the 10-20% increase from moving jobs since a our retirement is based on growth of investments over time. Passing on pay increases extends our working years or decrease quality of life after retirement. Somehow companies dont understand this, a director at the multibillion dollar company I recently left was talking about retention ratesamong millenials and made an offhand comment of “I guess they want more money or something”
Why should you pay for someone else to use your buildings amenities? Its randos like this douchenozzle that are going to leave weights out, not wipe down equipment, trash the pool, etc. Complain to management immediately, you pay them to take care of this.
Cant be letting no slumboy into our luxury apartment complexes

Cominghome to a freshly vacuumed apartment every day seems fantastic.
Id be fine with a lake house as my only house.
Id rather just stay at work than visit orlando in the summer.

Just imagining the laser that Raytheon made to take out drones behind brick walls and pointing that at your pubes
Watching GGW commercials at 2am was the entire reason im not a morning person

Hard disagree with going to Canada; because of the exchange rate everything is 20% off. I can have a decent meal and a few beers for under $30 usd.
By the time shes picking her own present out days after her birthday, the extra $100-$200 is the least of your worries
Oh so were leaving underwear on now?
Forgot to add, if you ever confront him you need to ask “who do you know here?”
