I actually disagree. Posting your political opinions online does change things. I agree with everyone here, it won’t change people’s individually-held beliefs. But it does affect change in other ways. It’s caused CEOs to apologize, companies to right their wrongs, and college presidents to step down. Sometimes that change isn’t always good. Presidents stepping down over trivial matters and CEOs having to apologize for not taking a popular stance because they’ve been convicted in the court of public opinion suck. But here in my state, social media helped bring to light a very crooked state supreme court justice. We managed to get someone who was basically a nobody but is honest into the chief justice’s position over an already-sitting justice with tons of clout and connections. AND was female. That’s a lot going for her but between everyone posting what they knew of her, we were able to make the common, low-informed voter a little more informed and got man who is known for being very honest and ethical. It was a pretty cool experience to watch and was in large-part done through social media.

You just moved, dude. Have your Dad help you build your bookshelf or some other crap and then have your mom help you pick out a new piece of furniture or art for the walls. If she has to do some light “crafting” to make it look good, more’s the better because it kills more time. I know I’m a girl but that’s what my parents do when they come over and the rules can’t be that different. Also, movies. The vast majorities of movies I watch are with my parents.

I appreciate you writing this article, Duda. You did a good job.

Here’s my take-This isn’t so much about the girls as individuals, but about our society and culture in general. We as a whole have devalued sex. It is no longer private, sacred, special, or intimate to us. So this is what you get. Girls taking the easy way out to pay for their lifestyles and men willing to pay women for a night of anonymity for what should be a very intimate and respectful act. (Even if that act is wild, kinky, monkey sex. When you’re doing it with the right person, it’s still respectful.)

My beagle has been gone for three years this October and I still vividly remember the first day I drove up to the house and he wasn’t there to greet me as I got out of the car. I get it. Love to you and your family.

DANG IT Madoff. Not sure how to explain to my co-workers why I’m sitting at my desk crying over a PGP article. Ugh. I hate you.

But this was beautiful. Also your dogs are gorgeous.

  • AnnaP 8 years ago on Questions About Relationships From A Guy Who's New To The Game

I also have questions about this. Why is there not A/C in every building everywhere? Do you have it in public buildings and your office? Is it an additional expense to rent an apartment with A/C? Do you at least have a window unit? This is baffling to me.

My Dad, whom my mother frequently makes insanely inappropriate comments about how much she appreciates his wardrobe, has taken entirely to linen button downs between April and November. I can, unfortunately, attest that this is a look neighborhood moms gravitate towards.

Side note- your parents ditching all semblance of a sexual filter upon having adult children. PGP.

  • AnnaP 8 years ago on Am I The Weird One For Leaving A Fan On 24/7?

I’m from the South. The fan stays on 24/7, 365 days a year but the light goes off when I leave the room. I am legitimately baffled by people who install chandeliers and other lighting in their homes instead of fans. Total insanity.

God bless you guys. My boss has accused me of not having balls and needing to toughen up. I am tough. And sassy. And rather freaking awesome…but not at work. I just don’t care enough to argue and scream with him like my co-workers do and I thought I wasn’t stepping up to the plate. So glad to see the rest of y’all put on different skins at work too. Only website on the internet that the comments are worth reading! Much love, y’all.
