I’m using this picture of Booboo and Micah, in which he inexplicably looks like a certified 9, to be the face of my weekend in fun. The squad is going to a “Welcome to Texas” party for Booboo tomorrow evening, as she just moved here from New York. It’s a Texas theme, and it’s at the house of Wiener. Can’t wait. Are we going to the bars afterward? It seems likely.
Not much going on tonight, though. I might take The Homie to the UT baseball game but it’s going to be about 96 out this evening. That doesn’t seem very fun.

Thanks guys…It’s going to be a great weekend. Insurance helped, and seriously we were lucky to have the foundation still there. Roof needed repair, inside was wrecked, but was still standing. House right across the street was completely gone.

My bf’s mom just bought us some new furniture, so we’ll be setting all that up for most of the weekend. Fancy Cocktails with the girls on Saturday afternoon will likely turn into chugging long islands at 2AM and blacking out at some trashy bar.

In-laws are in town. Tonight we’re going to do some grilling and beer drinking.
Tomorrow a Houston brewery tour, dog park, and then dinner with my parents and her parents. Should be a good one if we can survive the heat.

The dog park off Allen Parkway? Pro tip – the parking garages around AIG are wide open. (Or at least they were a few weeks ago).

The one next to AIG is still under repair as far as I know.
Wortham Tower garage is open and you don’t need an access card as the gates are kept permanently open.

Mowing the yard tonight then filets on the Traeger. Parents coming in for the day tomorrow, but 99% of their attention will be paid to the grandkid, so entertaining is easy. Then hopefully a quick 9 and some relaxation after church Sunday.
