All Grandex employees are working from home this week (and the next few) while our new office is being finished, so it wouldn’t surprise me if we’re all experiencing a little cabin fever at this point. The weather is nice, too. Finally. Time to step out.
Tonight, I am going to a birthday dinner. Tomorrow, though, is the day. I am playing in a golf tournament with four of my best friends. Five man scramble, shotgun start, Lost Creek Country Club — all for a good cause. Lunch, beers, drink stations, and a swag bag are all included. We may hit the town afterward. Should be a lot of fun.
Listen to us discuss our weekends in fun on this week’s Touching Base.
What are you doing for fun this weekend?.

Going to see a lady friend’s new puppy tonight and possibly do some stuff without clothes on.
Congrats on the puppy
Congrats on the sex
Congrats on the potential sex.
How long have you been waiting to make this announcement this week?
Congrats – I believe in you!
Only since Monday
I expect a full recap.
Lots of booze and babes. I mean probably not babes but a man can dream.
Vegas this weekend. Go fast, turn left
Remember, always take a lipper before you snort it
No dude, turn right. Free yourself from the ominous loop trap. Remember, if you don’t run with sheep, the shepherd can’t hurt you and so on and so forth
Going to enjoy the weather Houston is getting with some El T on the patio tonight. Might try to convince the wife to uber there so we can get a pitcher(s) of margs.
Tomorrow the wife is getting her hair done so I’ve got all morning to golf and drink as many beers as possible before I have to go home at act like I’m not a degenerate.
Sunday I’m riding solo so I’ll be eating Oreos and watching golf, going for a new record of hours on the couch without moving. Might cook some steaks for dinner if the weather permits. Have a blessed weekend y’all
Love that you have your El T spot…Inspired me to find a steady weekend spot in Dallas. E Bar Tex Mex it is!
E Bar is the most underrated Tex Mex in Dallas
Underrated? I’ve never been there on a weekend when there isn’t a 45 minute wait.
True..We are in the market for a new night spot. Last Friday they had a 2 hour wait.
Confirmed.
Might have to check this out when I’m in Dallas in a couple weeks.
If you live in Texas and don’t have a regular TexMex spot you visit weekly, you’re wrong
Why aren’t you going to the Rodeo?
I am next weekend, cowboy
I drive right by it all the time and have never had it. This is the last push I needed to go give it a try.
Which El T is your go to? Huge fan of the Westimer one since I can walk to it and the wait is never as extreme as the other. It’s like the forgotten location.
We usually go for Richmond because we can walk but if the wait is over an hour and a half (usually is) we go to the one of Navigation simply because it’s the biggest and shortest wait times.
Nice, well if you haven’t already, throw a grand marnier floater in your frozen sometime. I’ve never had one pair more perfectly than with the El T house frozen.
The El T next to The Cellar? Also in walking distance.
That’s the one
Same to you!
Love me some E-Bar but the lines are starting to get crazy. A couple weeks ago the wait was over an hour on a Saturday
Guess the secret is out
Doing this thing Garth Brooks calls a rodeo. Also living in the bask is dave11686’s newfound fame.
Notice how the sun started shinning in Texas again as soon as his “nice work”s started going up? That’s no coincidence my friend
19th doing the Lord’s work over here.
Tonight: Pizza night as usual. Cuddle/hangout time with the wife as she has been working nights.
Saturday: Work.
Sunday: I will be participating in the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Chicago. Walking into Lake Michigan on purpose for charity.
What kind of water temps we talking about for this polar plunge? Is any training involved or you going in blind? Any concern about your penis not returning to normal size after exposure to such temps? How long do you stay submerged?
This is my first one so I’m going in blind. I’m guessing in the 30s as it’s going to be in the 50s. Not really, and as long as I can tolerate it. I’m borrowing a dry diving suit.
I need you to change that dry gear to an American flag speedo and report back to us on Monday. Good luck
Back in high school we used to walk into lake superior every year when we’d go to Duluth for tradition sake. Senior year it was snowing, and the beach would use was made of rocks not sand, so hopefully you’re at a sand beach or else your feet are gonna hurt. Definitely recommend diving in head first as soon as possible especially before your waist deep makes it a little better
It is a sand beach. North Avenue Beach for the Chicago PGPers.
Dillon, I appreciate you asking every Friday. The lady is flying back from Austin today and has events tomorrow so another weekend solo. A work buddy and I are going to see what kind of trouble we can get into since it’s our last full weekend on site. No guarantee on making it through the weekend.
I’m gonna be real honest, it was a rough week. So my only plan is I’m gonna see how fast I can make a bottle of bourbon disappear.
Tonight: Prime Rib the size of a hubcap and cheesed egg rolls, with copious amounts of draft Amber Bock with couple friends.
Tomorrow: Trout fishing and checking our farm to make sure the wildlife is eating well and a controlled burn or two.
Sunday: 18 with the boys for the first time since off season hand surgery at a place we had to beg to get on. Hooters post round for the race.
I love this.
Getting sloppy at a bowling alley with some dudes tonight then hitting the Arnold tomorrow to watch the strongman competitions and feel like a weakling. Might try and squeeze in a coyote hunt because I really want a fur hat
Fur hats are dope. Gotta rock that Davey Crockett look.
