I took ^this picture with my 256MB iPhone X a month or so ago. That’s a sunrise at our Texas hill country ranch, just outside the tiny town of Pontotoc, TX. This is also where I will be spending Saturday and Sunday. The whole fam going out there and I am way too excited about it.
Tonight, however, I am going to dinner for my girlfriend’s roommate’s birthday. I think there are something like 19 people going, three of which I will know. Should be fun.

Put it my two weeks, a couple days ago. Time to celebrate quitting my first job out of college.
Congrats. No other way to obnoxiously sing “started from the bottom now we here” in your head when you get a bigger paycheck than quitting and moving on to better things.
Just listened to two coworkers discuss politics and race for 10 minutes. Holy shit, we’re at work, get me out of this place.
Same here. It’s a truly freeing experience.
Tonight we’re doing a wine, pizza, and movie night. Couldn’t be more excited to get wine drunk in my $1.99 WalMart sweatpants tonight.
Tomorrow I’m taking a load of Christmas decorations to storage and then it’ll be an afternoon at the dog park since the weather will be above 60 in the City of Syrup.
Sunday the wife works so I’ll be doubling down on beers and tv for the playoffs and CareerBuilder final round.
Oh, I did buy a new puppy today so that means a few months of excitement before I can pick her up. Have a blessed weekend y’all

Girlfriend accepted a new job, so we’ll be celebrating tomorrow night with overpriced steaks and drinks, but tonight is dedicated to sweatpants, the 7th season of West Wing, and my recliner.

Working late tonight so that I don’t have to come into work this weekend (yay busy season). Free-for-all day tomorrow as the girlfriend is spending it with her mom. Might play some video games, might catch up on Black Mirror, who knows? My apartment is my oyster. Sunday is Conference Championship Sunday, AKA my favorite Sunday of the year.
Just finished up a 2 straight 7 day weeks, got the email that I’m off this weekend. Then got another email I have to fly out to Houston to the client next weekend. Career choice regret is in full effect.
If you’re in public accounting and have put in at least a few years, switch. The grass is much greener. It’s definitely busy in private, but not as bad or unpredictable as public.
Big 4 life. Only been about 6 months.
Ah then yeah you still have a ways to go. It’ll get worse before you get better, but the Big 4 grinder is definitely worth it. No better place to start an accounting career.
