It turns out Shutterstock doesn’t have a very good collection of resort-style swim-up bar pictures to choose from, which I wanted to go with this week because swim-up bars are obviously the best bars, right above hotel bars. I went with the above one. It’s alright, I guess. They’re attractive.
Anyway, I’m going out to tonight against my better judgement. Dinner and drinks. It should be fun but I’m going downtown during South By Southwest so I’m a little uneasy about the crowds I’ll be fighting. There are talks of a Saturday brunch then taking it easy the rest of the day. I need it.
On Sunday, we’re hitting the links. Should be sunny with a high of around 82. Oh I’ll take it. I need redemption after the last time we got out there.

Back home in Louisiana visiting the ‘rents. Got crawfish boils on tap for tonight and tomorrow afternoon, followed by birthday dinner in NOLA. Pretty pumped

March through late May, and anywhere in Louisiana- seafood shacks, trailers on the side of the road, any special events or tailgates, etc. Those little mud bugs sustain pretty much drive everything Cajun people do for an entire season of the year
That’s one thing I miss most about Louisiana in the spring. Party or Event? Crawfish boil. Funeral? Crawfish boil. Random Thursday afternoon? You bet your ass crawfish boil.
Been drinking since 1 pm and hoping to keep doing so through Saturday night. It’s my last weekend before I start my new job after 2 months of unemployment so I gotta go hard.

St. Paddy’s tonight at the hometown bars, turning 25 tomorrow, so a joint birthday party with me and my best friend, and brunching Sunday.
Visiting my friend for his last birthday before he moves to Virginia, last time I visited him I came to walking around his college campus at 4am by myself and then slept in the laundry room in his apartment building. Hoping things don’t get that crazy again.
