It’s a beautiful, cool day in Austin, Texas, and it’s been a while since I’ve gone out, so I have the itch to hit the bars tonight. Feels like a bourbon and water night. Five-to-one bourbon to water, over ice. A craft beer or two as a change-of-pace back.
The problem is Dave is the only one from the squad who’s shown interest in joining me tonight. Ross disappears every Friday and Will is doing something called Sober January. It might just be us two dudes, or it might completely fall through. I need some going-out momentum to pick up here in the office before we leave for the day or I’m going to be upset. If we part ways with no more discussion, it could mean a bottle of wine and the couch tonight.
Saturday, though, it’s family ranch time. Why is drinking with your family more fun the older we get?

Radio, batteries, lights, dried food, cash, warm clothes (live in Ohio), maps, ammo, water purification tabs, and anything else that I find at the cabelas bargain cave that looks like it’d be useful in a natural disaster. I’m not a doomsday freak, but it’ll rather have it and not need it than the other way around.
