Despite the fact that sit-down dinners are on their way out on the modern day wedding scene, one fact remains – when you RSVP, you’re going to have to make a decision between getting the meat, fish, or vegetarian option. None of which are going to do much for your appetite considering one kitchen preparing 150 meals that are all supposed to go out at once is a literal recipe for disaster. If you order the steak, it’s going to either be disgustingly red or disturbingly overdone. If it’s the fish, you can pretty much guarantee you’re eating farm-raised mutant fish that are disguised as halibut or salmon. And if you eat the vegetarian option, you’re betting on steam vegetables being better than either meat choice. It’s all garbage.
Well, not actual garbage, like the garbage served by one bride at her British wedding where they cut every corner possible in an effort to keep costs down. And this isn’t me saying, “this girl served less than desirable food at her wedding.” This is me saying that she sought out food that was being thrown away, and then legitimately served it on a plate to her guests.
Per Yahoo:
They started by using out-of-date food that was destined to be thrown away for their wedding meal, and the bride wore a secondhand dress from a swap shop that cost just £80 ($105).
U.K. charity ReFuse, who source food from local supermarkets, bakeries, and small businesses that would otherwise have gonein the bin, were responsible for arranging all the food.
Guests dined on tomato and red pepper soup, followed by vegetable curry or pasta and a range of desserts.
“Some of our guests thought it was a bit weird that we were having out-of-date food for the wedding breakfast, but everyone said it was really tasty.”
Yeah, alright. I’m sure it was real tasty. I can visualize this couple going from table to table doing their rounds while asking how their recycled food is, only to have the guests feel guilty telling them that it tastes like wilted waste. “It’s great,” they say emptily while using their fork to mix the food up on their plates so it appears as though it’s been eaten.
The bride and groom also arranged for the leftover food to be brought home in to-go boxes, which I can guarantee ended up in the trash bin the moment the attendees walked into their flats and sought out their refrigerators for something legitimate to eat. .

If you can’t afford to have a wedding don’t have a fucking wedding. Fortunately, no one like this would ever invite a person like me to their wedding anyways.
As pretentious as this is, I agree.
These cheapskates probably had their wedding on a Sunday, too.
Maybe she just wanted her guests to be Derelicte?
You can derelicte my balls
I can derelicte my own balls, thank you very much.
I could deal with the shitty food as long as they didn’t try to get away with a cash bar.
Do you only write about weddings now?
It’s #WeddingSeason, man. Embrace the shittiness of people getting married.
