Some of them are understandable. Texas is widely hated across the country, as are Michigan and Ohio State, but Ole Miss in Alabama? Ohio State in Kansas? Apparently folks in Georgia still can’t get over General Sherman and that whole deal. What the hell does New Mexico have against Hugh Freeze and the Rebels?
I call the legitimacy of this map into question.

I’m guessing this survey was exclusively for upstate residents.
I don’t think New York hates Michigan because of Football. First of all, half of Long Island and Westchester go to Michigan. Secondly, Syracuse fans hate Michigan because of the Final Four loss in 2013, but that’s basketball. Mostly people in New York just don’t give a shit about college football unless they went to school with a competent program, because most of the NY colleges suck moose at football.

UK is always worth hating. Although, since 80% of the state is comprised of UK fans, this has to mean that even UK fans hate UK football.
