I’m not ashamed to admit that I used Season 2 of Stranger Things as a means to avoid doing anything and everything during the weekend before Halloween. Simply put, sitting in bed binge-watching those little twerps scramble around Hawkins sounded better than dressing up in some sorry costume pretending to have fun. Yes, my viewpoint of Halloween is morbid and depressing. That being said, my viewpoint of Stranger Things is not.
Which is why Dave and I decided to cram nine episodes of Stranger Things into one recap podcast on the new Grandex Labs feed. No, we’re not here to talk plot holes or logistics. We sat down to talk theories and ask the following questions:
– What’s up with Billy’s workout routine?
– Why don’t they just let Will fucking die?
– How does everyone not absolutely hate Dustin for harvesting that slug?

– Is Bob a cocksman?

Steve is my favorite character so he will likely die next season. Shame.
Steve and Dustin are my favorite by far. Dustin might be Steve’s motivation to decide to go to college.
FYI that wasn’t Mike and Eleven’s first kiss. He definitely kissed her season 1.

Btw, was I the only one who spent a LOT of the season thinking that Billy looked a hell of a lot like Zac Efron?
I guess this is a hot take, but I enjoyed episode 7 a lot (though not as much as the others). I liked the goon squad 8 rolled with because they were such goobers. Also Will kept referring to will’s mom as mike’s mom and it confused me a bit.
I was wondering why he said when is Hopper going to get with Mike’s Mom, when that is going to 100% be Billy.
Yeah, my bad. I’m admittedly absolutely terrible with names but I hope you still understood what I meant.

Would have loved to hear Ross and Dillon give picks on who dies next season in a BDC-esque way… 100% on Billy being a young Rob Lowe. This was really great. pod length was just right… Letting that outro ride for over a minute reminded me of the early TB episodes. I even <15sec a few times to listen to it again at my desk again.
Hey the death prognostication is already my thing! I am disappointed that Will didn’t fulfill my prediction as most likely main character to die (he did almost die though, so half points). At least deFries acknowledged that Byers is probably the least useful main character in the show and they’d be better off without him.
5 stars boys … I think I could honestly listen to Will and Dave talk about Stranger Things for hours haha … loved the takes on all the characters especially Billy. I do disagree with the favorite episode choices, Dig Dug was great and Tina’s party was lit but Episode 8 was an emotional rollercoaster and I was on the edge of my couch the whole time. Love you guys, keep it up!
