We woke up Sunday morning well rested and raring to go. The day’s itinerary included the Rams vs. Dallas Cowboys game at noon in the Anheuser-Busch corporate suite, which included more beer drinking, a postgame reception at the Budweiser Brew House and finally, Sunday Night Baseball at Busch Stadium as the Cardinals took on the Cincinnati Reds. It was an incredible cap to an already incredible weekend.
The coolest part of the weekend was yet to happen. Around the fifth inning of the Cards/Reds game, Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith showed up for a meet-and-greet and perfect opportunity for me to show off my new Busch Light Friday golf polo.
That was that. The weekend was over and we headed back to the hotel, completely exhausted with our bellies full of fine American lager and delicious meaty treats. I don’t think I was hungry or unsatisfied all weekend.
Big thanks to the fine folks at Budweiser, Lindsey Herzog and Weber-Shandwick, St. Louis Rams, St. Louis Cardinals, Five Bistro, Ballpark Village, and the wonderful people of the Show-Me State for showing all of us an amazing time.
This Bud’s for you..
I live in St Louis and I’ve never done most of those things. Glad the city didn’t let you down though.
Oh good, I thought I was the only one. Shout out to not taking advantage of any of the things the city we live in has to offer
I lived in St. Louis the past year: 0 brewery tours and 6-8 Cardinals games …. so in reality you can do whatever you want. Bar 360 I highly recommend.
Does one actually “live” in STL without doing the Brewery Tour/Cards Game at the very least once a year?
A fair point, but I don’t know if I’d call my life right now “living” either
Bucket hats are already coming back so you’re actually really on trend.
