Parents and in-laws both going apeshit about which family events we attend and for how long during the holidays. Let’s call the whole thing off. PGP.

My in-laws said we shouldn’t see my parents because they live so far away. Mine parents live 3 hours away and my in-laws live 2 and a half hours away.
Have Christmas at your place. See how quickly the argument changes.
Don’t do that. The beauty of you going to their place is you can leave after 2-3 hours. Good luck making the in-laws leave.
This is exactly why I took a cruise instead. Make the rounds and show face on the 23rd, black out on a boat the 24th.
Funny how in-laws and parents get so upset over holiday visitation like they want to see you so bad, yet don’t make nearly as much effort any other time of the year. Like am I really that cool that you have to get super pissed and fight for my attention? I’ll be around forever, guys, I’m not that special. Maybe it’s just a parent thing I’ll learn about in 30 years.
My inlaws live 10 hours away. We just decided to do Thanksgiving at my inlaws house, and Christmas at my parent’s house. Then flip next year. Spending Christmas driving around sounds miserable. Good luck!
