Every morning, we gather here to contemplate, plan, soak up inspiration, harvest motivation, and get jacked up on coffee and confidence for a day of kicking ass.
IT’S TUESDAY BABY AND WE’RE BACK IN BUSINESS. BREW A BIG ASS POT OF JOE THIS MORNING, BECAUSE WE’RE GOING TO GET AFTER IT LIKE NEVER BEFORE. TODAY IS THE DAY YOU PROVE TO THE WORLD THAT THEY NEVER SHOULD’VE FUCKED WITH YOU. NOW IS THE TIME TO SHINE. GO OUT THERE AND PROOF YOUR WORTH. DOMINATE THIS TUESDAY LIKE AARON JUDGE DOMINATED THE HOME RUN DERBY. “THE WORLD IS YOURS, AND EVERYTHING IN IT. IT’S OUT THERE, GET ON YOUR GRIND AND GET IT.” YOUNG JEEZY SAID THAT. CLOSE DEALS, KICK ASSES, TAKE NAMES, CHUG COFFEES.
What’s on your schedule this morning? What are you going to conquer today? Let us know in the comments section below. Positivity only. Build the energy. Come correct or don’t come at all..
The fighting neighbors decided they needed to celebrate their visit from the police with a party last night. I don’t really have a good story to do with it except they are trash and I’m running on 5 hours sleep the past two days. God bless coffee and God bless my right to fake befriend these neighbors so I can upperdeck their toilets at a dinner party.
They don’t seem like the type of couple that hosts dinner parties.
3 weeks left of internship and major interview tomorrow with a big entertainment company… keep the coffee flowing
Fun Fact of the Day Cubicle Board:
It’s against the law to own a pet dog in Iceland.
Fuck Iceland.
Why?
In 1924, the city of Reykjavik banned keeping dogs as pets. The city’s residents aren’t all cat people—rather, the measure was meant to prevent echinococcosis, a type of tapeworm that can be passed from dogs to humans. In the 1880s, a full 20 percent of autopsies performed in Iceland revealed the disease, which can cause blindness and severe complications. Even now, the disease is hard to treat and has a mortality rate of up to 75 percent, though it is primarily contracted in Africa.
Turns out dogs aren’t illegal in Reykjavik anymore, there are just super strict laws and policies to have them, but they just let cats do whatever the hell they want
I leave for work at about 5:30 every morning and this is the shit that gets me amped and through the day. And for that, I thank you. Let’s crush it.
Little over a week left of this internship in NYC, trying to use my time wisely and not just go through the motions these last few days.
I’m still sad there was no weekend review
Getting flown out for a final round interview at a fairly popular search engine. Since this is the first time I’ve ever had to expense something (odd, I know) I’m getting my first big boy credit card this week.
Any suggestions on what a young underpaid man who spent the last few years solely paying off student loans and rent should sign up for?
Chase Sapphire. All the points.
Visa Amazon Card. You will thank me later
If traveling the sapphire or sapphire preferred is king
Chase freedom. You get $150 cash back after you spend $500, which if you’re buying a flight you should reach almost immediately.
If you want straight cash back, no points, go Citi Double Cash, plus no annual fee.
Bank of America cash back card, no annual fee!
Depending on where you are, Southwest Airlines Visa. I have the spending habits of a poor man and I haven’t paid for a southwest flight in years.
Giving a presentation on farm safety all day. Didn’t truly realize how many Hispanic participants would be attending until I arrived. I cannot speak Spanish and my translator just told me she’s not entirely sure how to convey the message of PTO safety. Still, should be a fun filled day.
My dog ate an entire ham bone last night, while I was careless and thought he was just chewing. So now I’m spending my day googling worst case scenarios.
Shit all over your house when you get home.
Internship for this summer is almost over but I set up a meeting with an affiliate sports marketing agency for this afternoon…hopefully I can turn this into something for next summer
