**UPDATE: So apparently, this wasn’t an officially licensed CrossFit event, and the CrossFit guys are really upset that we referred to this as CrossFit when it is, in fact, faux CrossFit, so keep in mind as you read that these RAID Games were not in any way affiliated with CrossFit, but still #StopCrossFit.
They’re just getting reckless now. While hosting a fitness competition called “RAID Games VI” (such a sick name, bros) at US Century Bank Arena– the home basketball arena of Florida International University–over the past weekend, a bunch of animals destroyed this:

The FIU athletic department estimates the floor will take eight weeks to repair, just in time for FIU Panther basketball, who are looking to build off of a strong, 15-16 2013-14 season. Luckily, the event was fully insured and FIU won’t have to pay a dime to restore the court.

FIU? Never heard of it. Can’t say that I care.
Consider it the Venues fault for allowing them to host that event @ that stadium. They were conscious of what was going to take place.
If anything the damage is to be blamed on the people incharge of renting it out, not the athletes that attended.
Nothing was done maliciously, It’s a sport that involves heavy weight lifting what else is to be expected…
Which brings me to my next point, what are you complaining about… Not only will the courts be ready on time, but FIU “won’t have to pay a dime.”
