The most wonderful time of the year: The Minnesota High School Hockey Tournament.
Over this past week, we reported a backup goalie who claimed his “luscious flow” was his team’s key to winning it all in 2017. And from that moment, you knew it was on.
With the action beginning yesterday, we knew were in for some action. But what we didn’t know was how tasty that action would be considering the MSHSL pretty much hates everything about the showcasing of high school players’ hair for the world to see, per their statement regarding the infamous videos.
“That has absolutely nothing to do with our tournament,” said Dave Stead, executive director of the MSHSL. “It’s a guy who’s sitting in his living room taking photos off his TV set. My concern is for the kids and the tournaments.”
There’s no word on how many times Dave Stead has gone viral, so until he either does or we have confirmation that virality is on his resume, I’m going to politely ask him to step down from his ivory tower and let the boys peacock their lettuce. I mean, just look at the hair we’ve already seen yesterday alone.
Buncha beauties, I tell ya. .
