I know what you’re thinking. Oh, yay! Another internet person is telling me that my hometown sucks and I should move. This is actually a pretty handy graphic from the folks over at eCollegeFinder. They came up with some sort of fancy postgrad city-finder algorithm thing to help recent grads find the best city for them to relocate. Which city is going to give you the best chance of landing a job? Who has the best nightlife? Who has the cheapest pizza? Can I walk anywhere?

$1,200 will get you a 2 BR Apartment in Chicago… Well, not Chicago, or Cook County.
Maybe about 30 miles away from Chicago.
I hear Gary, Indiana is nice this time of year.
You show me a 2 bedroom apartment for $1800 in DC, and I’ll show you the crack house that’s next door.
Same here in Beantown. Decent 2BR will run you at least over two grand.
^In like Allston maybe. Anywhere in city is 2.8 and above
Yeah, so, seeing how oil and gas is one of the largest industries in Denver, and this has green tech on there, I’m going to go ahead and discount this. That, and the fact that a decent studio costs $931, not to mention a two bedroom.
The only $768 2-BR apartments in Columbus are the shitty campus ones with mice and roaches. Anything nicer is close to a grand.
I would not live in any of these cities except for Austin, TX. The other 9 average 9.74% unemployment, 7 have average 2BR rent for over $1200 (which means if you don’t want to live in the ghetto you’re paying out the ass), and as long as you survive solely on pizza you might be able to live on the streets of Baltimore or DC. Cool algorithm, great list of places I’d never live, with the exception of ATX.
Gotta love that Pizza Hut Cost predictor.
Less than a grand for a two beddie in ATX? No sir.
Then why’d you post it if it’s clearly wrong?
Because it’s the average cost of a two bedroom. Sure, you could probably find a decent 2BR 15 minutes from downtown, but if you want to live in a good part of town, it’s probably closer to two grand. I get it, though. Median cost of a 2BR would have probably been more accurate.
these numbers are so off they cant even be cited, there is no $1200 two bedroom in Philly outside of section 8 housing. way to go ecollegefinder
$1200 for a two bedroom apartment in Chicago? Absolutely not, maybe if you live 20 minutes from actual downtown.
As much as living in St Louis sucks, shit like this makes it tolerable
