Gotta agree, Johnnie Black is a good start. It’s a blend but for starters, it’s good. I could make an article on that, because it really depends on what you like alcohol wise. If you like more authentic stuff, go for a Laphroaig; if you prefer more fruit, floral and wood a glenfiddich would be good (12 year is my favorite).
