Being from, and unfortunately still living in Connecticut, this does not surprise me at all. You’re within easy driving distance of two real cities where you probably tried (and failed) to get a job after graduation, so you can visit all your friends who did manage to score a job in Boston or NYC and remind yourself how much it sucks that you’re not living there. There’s a reason nobody dreams of living in Hartford County when they grow up.
