I am a former founding member in Colorado Springs.

The comments below are about the Colorado Springs locations only!

    Is it a good workout?

Heck yes it is a good workout.

But, is it worth the aggravation?

I grew really tired, REALLY tired of pointing out stuff that should be obvious.

It is the dirt on the ceiling fans.

It is the rocks, salt, and dirt on the floor brought in on workout shoes worn outside.

My second to last workout I stood up too fast and touched the window sill.

My hand was so furry from the dust my fingers it looked like I was wearing a mitten.

    It is missing equipment.

Equipment removed from the studio for a promotional photo shoot.

It is weights racked out of order.

When I approached the head coach I was told, there is not enough time between classes.

I replied, you have four hours after the 11 am class ends and the 415 class begins.

The staff also refused to label the weight rack.

It is lobby benches removed from the studio for a team meeting.

It is the frustration of getting monthly newsletters from other studios before I get one from my home studio.

It is being sick all winter because sick people continued to work out spreading their crud through the studio.

Working out and being sick is posted all winter on Facebook and yet, people keep coming and the staff do not step in.

It is the frustration of trying several times to address problems and not receiving a reply.

Only to find out later, the GM changed his email address without telling members.

Nothing was ever said in class announcements, nothing was emailed to members, and finally, this was never mentioned in the monthly newsletter.

It is the frustration of doing a 90 minute class, staying for the following nutrition seminar, and shivering because I am covered in sweat and a timer shut the heat off.

I quit going to seminars because of that.

OTF Colorado Springs (Stetson Hills) had no Hell Week during Halloween the first year they were open.

I was told the owners were afraid of offending someone which makes me wonder what else I am missed out on.

When I mentioned my reasons for disliking of back to back classes (ex. one class ending at 730 and the next class begins at 730) I feel as though my concerns were brushed off with a comment of they do it other places.

Lastly, coaching staff do not keeping the strength floor safe.

After the coaches showed us how to do an exercise, they leave the weights in the isle causing a trip hazard.

It is the frustration of coaches allowing people to work out swinging weights into the aisle rather than facing the wall.

During my final workout the person next to me hit me in the knee with her ten pound dumbbell.

I asked her to stay on the other side of the bench and then told the coach.

A few minutes later, the same person hits me in the other knee twice.

This was the knee that was surgically replaced five months earlier.

    It hurt.

After the class the coach told me she did not have time to address this in class but, would talk to them later.

The next day I received a call from the owner accusing me of yelling at her customers but, never gave me a chance to explain.

The owner went on to tell me I should check out other places and was excited to hear I already was.

The owner enticed me to quit by offering to wave the 30 notice required to quit.

The owner then started talking about how I addressed the dirt in the studio.

I stopped her and said, you have not liked me for three and a half years.

You do not like me addressing problems with staff and asked to bring this up with management.

When I tried to bring it up with management nothing changed.

Now, this final time, a manager was onsite and you (the owner) did not like my tone.

    By now, I had enough.

I told the owner fine, I am done, I quit, wave the fee, and I hung up on her.

Coaches that did not correct dangerous situations, the dirt, and an owner that is blissfully ignorant of customer concerns, and customer service forced me out.

To me, OTF stands for over the filth.
