For $2500 you could buy a real bike, a decent indoor trainer, and a subscription to Zwift or TrainerRoad, so you can easily get fit doing indoor workouts or also have the option to actually go do something outside.

Do you have any prior programming experience? Maybe before jumping into a boot camp that requires quitting your job, try an MIT Open Courseware course or similar to see if you can get a feel for it or simply to see if you enjoy it before jumping into the deep end.

From the article it appears they all have private bedrooms and just have a laissez faire attitude towards the communal spaces. Sure the tenants are absolutely insufferable hipsters and eight roommates means the place is always going to be busy, but I would much rather be in this situation than having a 2br place with 4 people like I’m back in a fucking dorm room. And this really pales in comparison to CMcK11’s example or those crazy converted warehouse communes in the Bay Area.
It’s not worth buying high quality beans if you’re pregrinding them. Freshly roasted and freshly ground are by far the two biggest factors in making great coffee.
