Bacon’s making it sound like the original guys are going to do more writing. I hate to compliment them, but it could be a good thing if it’s a return to the TFM of old, which there’s a chance to that if the website itself isn’t making a ton of money, allowing them to drop a lot of outside advertisers and/or companies who actually give a shit about what is allowed in the content and comments.
I just now saw the comments from late yesterday on the Snapchat article. I appreciate the openness, apologize for my negativity these past 24 hours, and have faith that you and Will will #KeepPGPGreatAgain.
They’re clearly trying to build a female audience on PGP. Man Outfitters and RG ads are bad enough. Can’t wait for whatever the lady version of their online store is.
I agree with you, and I too don’t read all of the articles. My point, which could have been more clearly stated, is that I enjoy the niche market PGP has created. While I sometimes go over to Barstool or Bro Bible, I find the articles to be much less original and geared towards all males over the age of 18. While they’re not quite the Maxim magazine of the internet (see the Chive) their common denominator from a reader / commenter standpoint is much lower than I perceive PGP’s to be. I’m not going to call us all intellectuals but it seems as though the core audience here is college educated, working the 9 – 5 grind, and not the “I barely passed high school and still live in the basement” trolls that frequent other sites, and I hope it stays that way. Lastly, #teammapnerds
No offense to the ladies out there because our regular female commenters more than hold their own with the male dominated PGP core audience, but if Veronica is writing those articles to appeal to the majority of former TSMers this site is going to become about 40% unreadable.
I would say roughly 95% of my comments don’t attack the author of a given piece, regardless of my take on it. Yeah, I called Duda an asshole once or twice but other than that I’m a pretty nice loyal follower. And if you’ll re-read above I was commenting on the content, not Veronica personally or her ability as a writer.
I try to stay positive in my comments, but PGP is going to get TFM level hate if they keep posting this dumpster fire shit that exactly zero percent of their readers can relate to.
Didn’t read. Dumbest fucking thing I’ve seen on PGP in the two years since I created an account. Who on this site gives a shit about men’s makeup? Here comes the Buzzfeed bullshit click bait.
I agree with you, but my fear is that a larger remote staff getting paid $25 per article means a whole lot more buzzfeed shit and not original content. Look at J-Tas and Kendra and the “quality” work they pumped out. Hope Bostonian and Arcadia put out a few pieces per week to keep things entertaining.
You don’t get my joke.

No, this was awesome, 2NOTBroke. Next time I’m up in Mass I’m buying you a beer or three.
What about breakfast? Is yogurt allowed before, say, 10:00 am?
I don’t think anybody wanted the dude fired, but it’s real hard to agree with some of his takes while he essentially bragged about being an asshole.

Kayla is a total fucking smokeshow. I can say that now that she’s gone.
All full-time writers except Will and DeVry guy. So, everyone.
Don’t you put that evil on me.

You guys could team up for the two medium, two topping deal and live happily ever after.
You’re the best, 2NOTBroke. Glad you made the cut.
(Is that nice enough for you?)
This just made it all the hotter as it leaves open the possibility for rounds 2 through ………..

Madoff, I’ll always love you.
