Depending upon your budget, level of friendship, and how many other guys you know at the wedding there’s always the option of getting a more expensive group gift that’s maybe off-registry. Think Big Green Egg, new shotgun / handgun (I live in Texas), nice knife set, multiple long-term paid subscriptions to various porn sites, etc.
Given my extremely limited knowledge in all things futbol, is this the equivalent of a AAA team joining the majors and winning the world series? (Granted that they’re playing a full major league schedule.)
I trolled all you EPL fans last week, but I bet this was pretty exciting to watch play out over the season.
Oh, and anybody taking bets on Kansas to win the college football playoff this year?
As someone on the north side of 30, this post makes a lot of sense and has me pumped up on a Tuesday. Once you go through a few major life events – marriage, relocating for work, a death in the family – you realize the other shit doesn’t matter, and that the big stuff has a way of working itself out, so long as you’re putting forth a fair amount of effort to get through the stressful times.
Brennan’s is nice for a family gathering / special occasion brunch but much too stuffy for your standard Sunday morning outing. Have heard good things about Max’s though.
Texas has three of the top ten largest cities in the U.S. and Austin comes in at No. 11. And speaking of flying, Dallas is home to two of the biggest airlines in the U.S. and Houston is a major hub for a third. It’s more than a flyover state.
If you aren’t staying at the Broadmoor go for a day and get a pool pass, lunch, massage, etc. Totally worth it. The scene and service are out of this world.

They’re still too mad about a bunch of unknowns beating the red coats…
What if it’s for the Human Fund?
Then halfway down my block I hear from the passenger seat, “Whoops, forgot my phone. Can we go back?”

That’s not a job.
“…general rule…”

Not to be an asshole, but as a general rule if you don’t need a passport for your honeymoon you’re doing it wrong.
Maybe “nip it in the butt” would have worked better here.
Everyone I work with has grown children. PGP
