Off week for the Bayou Bengals (Geaux Tigers!) so I’m just gonna float around the college football universe tomorrow before I tie one on for the Spooky Night festivities. My brother and I are dressed as frenchman and will be carrying baguettes as a drunk-time snack ( We’re going as “N****s in Paris” because we’re unoriginal trash)
I thought she was a Physician Assistant. What PA gets to go home when the doc leaves the office? In most states you only need to meet to discuss patient progress and prescriptions every two weeks.
After my regular savings account with 3 months of emergencies bill-paying money I have about $1500-2000. While I make smart financial decisions I am not experienced in all the options available to me (I’m a science guy not finance).
What should I do with this money? Lump it in with the rest in a high yield online-bank savings account that just barely keeps up with inflation? ETFs? I need advice but feel that $1500-2000 isn’t enough to necessitate a Financial Advisor.
If there is anything I’ve learned in my life it’s that people hate being made to feel like an asshole or an idiot in front of other people. My game plan would be to call him out publicly but in a nonaggressive way. Bonus points if you use vocabulary he isn’t familiar with. Nothing makes you feel like a useless piece of trash like being publicly told your an asshole in a a way you aren’t smart enough to understand. This way you don’t get your ass kicked, don’t catch a charge and you come off as the courageous and eloquent King your lady knows you are. Congrats on the sex.
Sometimes I just don’t want to talk. I also feel like I don’t owe you a conversation. I am paying you after all, it’s not like you’re doing me a favor. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not rude. I’ll have a conversation if it seems the driver really wants to talk but rarely will I initiate. Judge me if you want.
I also live in a city that wouldn’t be considered “cool” and making the move from suburbs to downtown has really affected my perception. It’s cold here like half the year too (Northeast) and driving by places on your way to/from work is just not the same as when you’re walking by shops and bars on a regular basis )Just bought a down parka so maybe this walking thing will continue into the winter).
I’ve been in this situation. I ended up going to avoid the fight but dipped out early because it wasn’t really a party I was invited to, WE were invited and she couldn’t go. I think of it like a plus one showing up to a wedding without the invited guest. Not technically against the rules but not what was planned/wanted by the hosts.
In college we had long-sleeve and short-sleeve jerseys available to us. I always hated the look of short sleeves with under armor underneath so I would wear a long-sleeve jersey to cover it. That was the extent of the purpose of them for me personally and I always thought it pointless to have them.
I tip 20% for good service as a baseline. If the service was lacking I’ll dip down to 15 or 10 in truly egregious situations (and am willing to extend to 25% if I felt that the service was above and beyond), but I include this in how much I expect to spend and feel that if the reason for tipping poorly is budgetary, you probably should just not dine out.

I remember the days when Villa was better than City. Back in the days of Ashley Young, Agbonlahor, and Heskey. Things were so simple back then.

Despite it being a mediocre movie at best, National treasure is in my top 10 all time favorites. I watch it 10 times out of 10 when I catch it on TV.
Embarrassed to admit I owned flannel lined khakis… you win this one Duda
Eric is the real Chump to Champ
Finally, a Duda take I can get behind.
Perfectly*
Not today, Satan! (Rachel, not you. I’m sure you’re perfect nice)
This needs to happen.
