I have zero clue how to make new friends. I just graduated college, moved to a new city, and work in a 3 person office. Family was asking me about a boyfriend at Thanksgiving, and all I could think about is how I would rather have new friends than a boyfriend.
I’m cringing so hard at the 5 voicemails to the kinda sorta boyfriend submission. Mostly because that was me 2 weekends ago and I still suffering scaries.
Girl in first question-I was in the same situation last year for my senior year. Straight up tell a guy what you want. Guy I did it with for the year was also a senior that I had a couple classes with over the years so we knew of each other but weren’t friends. We hit up each other a few times a week for some fun and that was it. Right away we established that this was never going to be a situation where we stayed over after sex or attempted to hang out. We would talk a little bit, have sex, and then bounce. Not sure if you are cool with being that casual but I was very happy with the consistent no strings sex.
Always go with the best sign off. Unless someone has pissed me off, then it’s regards. Also can’t imagine an inbox at 0. Currently sitting at a pretty 150.
Moved to Chicago on Monday. Friend gave me a free ticket to Lolla tonight. Different friend gave me a free ticket to a Chicago Fire game Saturday night. My new coworkers of 3 days just let me go early today and handed me a shot on the way out the door. Kinda loving life right now.
If I take 2 Patron shots after already starting to drink it’s a recipe for a guaranteed black out for me. I’m sweating at the thought of doing 5-6 Patron shots after already drinking that much.
Hey Charlie (or anyone from Chicago) I’m moving to Chicago and looking for some neighborhood recommendations. I’m fresh outta college, broke as can be, and just got a job in River North. Trying to be able to still enjoy the city, but also pay my rent. Any and all recommendations welcome.
