They really don’t need that much space. They’re pretty ideal apartment dogs… quite lazy. We go on long walks and go to the dog park all the time but he’d prefer to chill on the couch with me and refused to go in the backyard alone when I had one.
One of my only “must-haves” in an apartment is no carpet. I have a Bernese Mountain Dog and the shedding is unreal. Got a place with stained concrete and it’s sooooo easy to keep clean and still looks great.
I got a $600 mattress from Denver Mattress Co 4 years ago and my friends still consistently tell me it’s the comfiest bed they’ve ever slept on. No need to spend more than that.
I’m prepared to get downvoted for this but less than half the adult population has the ability to digest milk. Most people’s bodies stop producing lactase early in childhood.
There are definitely inconsistencies then. You’re 100% right about the TGDAG: Buy a Dog, but a couple installments later in TGDAG: Date Online, Pt. I it says, “Yeah HE’S a great listener and is always there when she needs HIM, but HIS love is boundless and the gratification she’s getting is stale.”
At least for the DC group we have one person who runs the GroupMe and they posted on the subreddit so most people have just messaged them privately with their phone number to be added to the GroupMe.
