I totally agree with you on that. I put a breakdown of the costs in another comment. I have no problem with hotels, gas, a few rounds and maybe a lap dance for the groom, but I don’t want to pay for stuff I’m not going to use.
We all got a breakdown of the hotel costs based on 4 guys per room (roughly 100, dinner at 3 places (all 3 over 60 each), lunch at 2, bottle service at a club (200/person. Half the group married and not really club people), gas for all cars, and meals on the road. Gets us just shy of 500/person. I have no problem with My share for the hotel, or the gas, but I feel like someone should cover the groom and we Venmo or PayPal each other the amount due. I just hate getting told “I really wish you would just cooperate and do this”. I just don’t want the argument when I come after money for stuff I didn’t participate in.
