I would have to agree with everything you say about women. Although, I’ve dated men in every one of these categories so its just human beings.
Last semester I always saw this cute guy in between classes, he was hipster. Not usually my style but I keep an open mind as I do not have a type as well. I sat down in the hall before class to quietly eat my ham sandwich one night and he finally approaches me.
First thing he says is “do you know how many pigs had to suffer in order for you to mildly enjoy that ham sandwich?”
Then goes on for almost 3 minutes about how animals suffer and have feelings and its been “scientifically proven” which drives me up the wall because it is absolutely ridiculous to state something as “scientific fact” as there is no such thing. I just wanted to eat my damn sandwich. Then goes on and on about all these films and directors I didn’t know about but because I had to say I was waiting for my screenwriting class to start. Yes, I answered him because I’m too damn nice and always think of great come backs 20 minutes later thinking intently on what just happened…but to sum up this little side story… trying to prove how cool hipster slash vegan cool guy with ray band style reading glasses was had the audacity to ask me out after lecturing me.
Point being gentlemen…women go through just as much bullshit as men do with women. Is it too much to ask for a nice guy who doesn’t listen to godawful rap, loves food as much as I do, loves to fuck (and isn’t a selfish asshole about it), has some sort of goal besides waking up in the morning and smoking pot, understands sarcasm-for real, enjoys a cigarette with your beer, and doesn’t want to get married but doesn’t want a “hit it for a couple months” kind of guy?
Because I’ll tell ya….I can’t seem to find one. Basically what I’m saying is you are right, dating is a horrible game that we are all somehow forced to play.
