Absolutely agree on the politics answer. I was in this situation but I was seeing the family almost weekly, so there was a mutual understanding and they respected where I was coming from with an informed opinion. If you’re only infrequently seeing them, it’s not worth bringing up because odds are it doesn’t go over smoothly and since you like their son, you’re stuck with them.
It’s a slow burn but it does eventually gets better. 9 months out of a 3.5 year here and I’ll be honest it’s gonna be brutal for a while. Hobbies, friends and a little hate go a long way.
Save the portable charger for later in your flight when you’ve drained your battery. Use the wall outlet for as long as possible, then dip into reserves later.
