My god that’s the worst advice ever. Student loans absolutely do hurt your credit, and are a huge reason why people cannot buy homes anymore. They made it even stricter last year–if you have a large balance of student loans you can’t even get an FHA loan, because they won’t accept income based payments. Get out of them asap! Also drowning in them over here, so I get the pain…
