Spending 3 hours a week in Shabbat services every week helps me learn to deal with slow times like being stuck in a super market line. There are times I say to myself, “The world does not revolve around me. What I want does not matter.” Then I try to say something genuinely nice to a person near me or to the clerk at the register. Of course, sometimes I am just a jerk…but I am getting better.
