I did that for the first few years out of college. It sucks now but I paid off grad school and was able to buy a place instead of renting. It will pay off in the long run.
Disagree- not married here/ no kids and I find it SUPER annoying as well. Who cares if you don’t match as long as 1. The bride is having fun and 2. You are having fun. These over planned events I go to are absolutely stressful and on a tight budget as is hard to swing. The whole wedding thing is just over done in my opinion. It’s just a day- be happy you found someone to spend the rest of your life with and not put on a spectacle.
He also closed our national bank spiraling our country into one of the worst depressions we had ever seen- see president after him Martin Van Buren, alienated the south to the point of almost secession and not to mention the crimes against the Cherokee, Seminole, and other various tribes. However, he also fought in 103 duels and taught his parrot to swear so badly that he was removed from his funeral.
Personally I would choose all three York brothers. Edward (eldest and king 1st) sentenced George ( Jan Brady bunch syndrome) to treason and George chose to be drowned in his favorite claret (wine). All three partied like kings for a time so to speak.
My aunt and uncle live there- upper east side- and I’ve stayed with them several times. I love the city and would move there in a heartbeat but only if I could afford to live in an apartment like theirs which, on a teacher’s salary would be impossible.
Pro tip buy a rotisserie chicken shred and skin it and freeze it- defrost for quick meals and casseroles. Also fooled around and tried chicken zucchini foil packets last night/ they did not disappoint.
