It’s been a blast these last 4 years y’all. Best of luck to each and everyone of y’all. Thanks for keeping my mind off having to live out in oil field country and giving us all a place to build a community.
I think it comes down to personal preference and also investing in a good pair that fit correctly. I’ve been wearing boots since I could walk so I’m actually more comfortable in them instead of in a pair of sneakers.
Love the satire in the article. But in all reality cowboy boots make security a breeze if you get screwed out of precheck, head to a lounge for free booze and food to avoid all the trash people, and try fly through Houston instead of that nightmare that is O’Haire.
That and having the Priority Pass access as well means you’re in a decent lounge with free food and booze vs out in the gate area with the general population.
It’s not like he has to run his statement by the legal team or anything since he cut him the fuck the loose. Oh and Ross said he’ll talk about it on RBP on a tweet again from a couple hours ago, but who knows when that’ll be posted since he said the same thing last night.
Fuck you Madison. First you destroy TFM and now this. As someone who started reading TFM in 2011 and followed these guys up through the PGP years you really know how to ruin a good thing. Godspeed Dave and Dorn. #TeamDorn #BringBacktheForums
I agree with this take. I wonder if this tactic will
change now that the unemployment rate is so low and there’s more jobs than workers. I live out in West Texas and there is a huge shortage of employees with degrees/experience and recruiters have to be on the ball in order to pick someone up before someone else does.
Seen the movie several times and love it, but due to this article I had to go pick up the book just now to better understand the whole story. Thanks for renewing my interest in this story Charlie.
I haven’t read a series like this that gets the old heart rate pounding with nerves/anxiety to find out what happens next in a long time. Seriously, well done on this series.
Why though? What’s the point of getting married and joining your lives together if you keep finances separate? My wife and I can’t figure out why her sister and brother in law have kept things separate for years. Once we got engaged and moved in together we joined everything in one account including direct deposits with our jobs and have been doing great.
Can confirm about there being one in Durham. Great food and good selection of craft beer. Thanks for the rec y’all. Definitely helping me cope with Hurricane Scaries.
Big thanks to the PGP Community on the BBQ advice. Still waiting to make the call on whether I’m going to ride it out or try and catch an early flight.
Great article. Unrelated but are you actually from Hodessa? Or just a fan of the movie? Be nice to have some folks from the PGP community out in this hellhole with me.

Wife is an Aggie. Can confirm that A&M is one big cult.
Agreed. There’s relief knowing your plane came in the night before and is parked and ready to go.

Heard that. Having hell in my new town finding someone who won’t butcher my hair.

Yeah I moved back to Odessa from Lubbock to work in the patch. We should get a local PGP chapter going or something!
West Texas / Oil field country anyone?

Hey Dorn is this the same trip you shit your pants on heading down a few years back?

Hell yeah brother I’m wrapping up my first of the two weeks notice as well. Good luck with the new job!
