As a NM advisor who is keeping his opinion out of this conversation (inherently biased) I’m stoked to see someone in the financial industry (obviously different capacities) who has a working understanding of what this asset class/vehicle is meant for.
I’m at 26 as well and in the final stages of my divorce. This column is spot on as I haven’t done a few of the suggestions and it wasn’t a fun process, I somewhat fell off the grid and traveled around the world. However, the only thing I would add is to not invest too much emotional energy into the first real relationship post marriage.

As an actual financial advisor, nothing I say or tell you is going to change your habits. Right now, you want the “now” more than you want the “tomorrow” it’s as simple as that. Everything else is simply justification for behavior.
