Went for a physical first time since ’09… just hoped for the best. Somehow blood tests came back fine, sure I’m a little chubby but big deal, EKG and all that was fine.. so can anyone tell me why the fuck I can’t remember the last time I felt healthy?

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on Solo Golf Is The Best Golf

Being a remote employee I get this opportunity all the time. So enjoyable but there’s always the off chance of being tossed into a random pairing. The best solo golf memories I have were working as a cart and driving range kid at a local private club, sneaking out before sunset for as many holes as I could play, then washing everything up under the one flood light we had.

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on I'm Almost 30 And Have Never Been To Starbucks

Being from CT where my small town had FIVE Dunkin Donuts, that was always the go to. Since moving to NYC it’s become a real addiction to hit Starbucks every single morning. $8.00 later I feel like an asshole, but will do it all again tomorrow.

Company AMEX > Per Diem. Morning trip to an airport or meeting within NYC where I live? Uber hooked up to the card, breakfast on the card, airplane seat upgrade on the card (send in the airline receipt as a pdf and erase the line with the extra charge). Give me unlimited charging ability now and if somehow the company catches it we then can address it.

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on The Anatomy Of Your Scramble Team

Love a good scramble but it does suck to be the best player in the group. Always pressure to putt last, hit the fairway after everyone else tops it or goes into the woods, and you’re group always expects you to win the long drive and closest to the pin. Takes all the fun out of it.

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on Mark Cuban Explains Everything That's Wrong With the Republican Party

The Libertarian take is great and I agree with a lot of it. My issue with most Libertarians is that come election day they won’t go vote republican. They’ll either vote third party to “make a point” which never gets made, not vote, or even just vote Dem. As basically a branch of the GOP there needs to be more of an umbrella over Libertarians and your conventional conservatives.

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on The Anatomy Of A Two-Day Hangover

This happened to me at a recent industry conference.. blacked out Wednesday night with clients, not sure how I got to my hotel room.. woke up, stood at our expo booth for 5 hours, proceeded to take a red eye flight home, slept the whole flight (thank you xanax) and woke up in NYC feeling just about as bad as the day before. I finally hit my stride around 5PM Saturday, only to punish my body again.

  • cornerhomeoffice 9 years ago on I Double As The Office IT Guy Because I'm Young

This is the worst. I work in sales, remotely, and get more calls from coworkers about our CRM and how to edit PDF files than I get from customers. Asking for a raise soon and this is actually one of my strongest arguments, I hold everyone’s hand.

Two summers ago I made a hole in one in the qualifying round for my (newly joined) clubs member member tournament, immediately it was assumed I was some wunderkind and would dethrone the club champ, who plays in US Amateur events. Needless to say that didn’t happen. God Speed Will.
