Watching it rain again. If any of you play the commodities I’d say get long corn. Too many acres have been affected by heavy spring rains for us to hit trendline yields. The traders in Chicago haven’t seemed to notice yet so this is a major buying opportunity in my opinion.
That song is straight fire. I almost forgot how much of a crush I had on Rihanna during college.
Crushing some of the finest gas station coffee today as I had to make a little road trip to pick up replant corn seed.
Doing typical Midwesterner stuff. Drinking cheap domestic beer and grilling meats this evening. Going gun shopping Saturday. Dinner with the family on Sunday cause Mom’s da real MVP.
Saw Ricky Stenhouse Jr. race a sprint car on dirt when he was like 16 and figured he’d go places. Personally I’d go with him or Blaney before I’d jump on either of the other 2 bandwagons.
Thanks for the pick me up. I’m currently finishing my first cup as I watch the rain continue. Forecasted to get around 2 inches which will probably lead to flooding and replanting.
The whole buy local thing is just an easy way to separate suckers from their money. Yeah the coffee might be brewed locally, but when was the last time you saw coffee beans being grown in Illinois? At the end of the day the cup from Starbucks and the cup from the local guy have the same carbon footprint.
Not a fan. I’m roughly 8 miles from the nearest grocery store. My ex lived in a larger city. She went to the store everyday. When she would stay with me she couldn’t handle it. I can see going twice a week to ensure you end up with the freshest produce and things like that, but daily trips indicate you are inefficient and incapable of planning.
Planting season is in full swing here and so is my coffee consumption. Fingers crossed that all goes well today as there is rain in the forecast for tomorrow so I can’t afford any down time right now.
Yesterday we laid to rest my hero. My grandfather was a POW in WW2 who had all kinds of medals including a Purple Heart, but I’ll remember him as the man who was a better teacher than any I’ve encountered in a classroom. I came here today looking for a spark, something to get my edge back, but instead a good morning cry was on the menu. Thanks Ross. Life is precious. Don’t forget that folks.
We’ve had ample precipitation lately so field conditions are not suitable for operations at this time. Today I’ll be trying to tie up all loose ends and making sure everything is organized for the day when field work begins.

Just came to say corn fed beef>grass fed beef. Fuck off Steve.

Busch Light is the go to. Occasionally I’ll go for some Old Milwaukee Light or Miller High Life.

I don’t know that 3 weeks gives you enough time to rehab this injury. Good luck though.

Like his wool socks and Birkenstocks?
Well now I’m upset at myself for not going last time Bob Seger was through this area.
The mention of Marlboro 27’s hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ll probably have to buy a pack today and try to recreate some college.
Grilling some pork chops and bacon wrapped asparagus and serving with cheesy garlic mashed potatoes. Thanks for asking.

Been putting on a few lbs lately so it’s time to try a grilled chicken salad.
Baked ziti and maybe some salad mix if mine hasn’t been recalled.
I’d say the timeframe isn’t as important as certain milestones in the relationship.
