Sounds like you need to decide what will make you happy. Evidently a 6 figure salary, beautiful house, and long term girlfriend are not getting the job done.
I think the majority of people can relate to these thoughts. I have a hard time not pointing to the fact that you’re only 23. Don’t worry so much. You can’t be a world beater until you learn the ways of the world. Start by surrounding yourself with successful people(your older friend) and watch and learn. Also, don’t take anyone you meet for granted. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
One more thing *spoiler alert* you will have regrets. It’s part of life. Just don’t let that pile outgrow the success pile and you’re winning.
Splurge next time you’re at the grocery store on some spices. Montreal has some good chicken/steak seasonings and lemon pepper is great for chicken or veggies. More flavor than just salt and pepper and it seems like they last forever.
Both sides make sense. Only thing I would add: Whatever you “freedom(s)” you give up prior to marriage will not resurface post-marriage…. not implying it’s a bad thing, but it is a thing. (This doesn’t apply to sex..)
To the “what are we” writer: Whoever made up all of the “rules” for relationships or dating is full of shit. Dive head first. If they feel the same way you do, they’ll be relieved and the elephant is out of the room. If they don’t, you saved yourself from a few more weeks/months of anxiety. Hope it works out.
Finance 101(Personal finance) should be a required course. It skims topics like budgets, mortgages, credit cards, investments, insurance, etc. Basically, the teacher explains basic “need-to-knows” prior to getting out of school. Much more effective required course that the English lit.

Excuse me while I go check my account….
Pro tip: buy them more shots so they don’t remember.
Math guy can’t count strokes on the golf course but can tell you within two pennies what his tab should have been. Something doesn’t… add up?

Completely agree.

I met my wife on Coffee meets Bagel at the ripe old age of 29… for anyone still using that needs a success story.

I’m of the belief the majority of dudes don’t really mature past 18. My wife(3 years younger) can attest to at least one case.
