Honestly, I admire the balls on whoever thought “hey, let’s get on a piece of wood, put it on an ice track and race at speeds of 80 mph+. Oh and we don’t need any sort of protection mechanisms, that stuff’s for losers.”
Apparently bobsledding is insanely hard and dangerous as fuck. I think someone died either in the last Winter Olympics or during qualifying for it. Definitely wouldn’t attempt it unless I’d been doing it since I was 2 years old.
The only thing that separates this series from Fifty Shades of Grey (besides the lack of anal) is the phrase “and his rock hard penis” missing from the very last sentence.
Honestly, I take shots for two reasons: I want to avoid sugary mixed drinks because sugar makes hangovers much worse and I get really full really quickly from mixed drinks/beer. If I have more than 3 beers, I’m going to be really full and not want to drink any more so I’ll spend the rest of the night sober. With shots, I can avoid that and enjoy the heavenly drunken meal of a bacon cheeseburger and curly fries.
Also, when doing shots, I avoid shitty liquor because the days of taking shots of Vodka of the Gods or Prestige are best left for 19 year-old Bill Nye. A shot of Ketel One at most bars around here will cost about as much as a beer, if not more.
Thought about doing this, but I’m scared of flying and if my plane is going down, I want to be awake and alert for those sweet final moments of life. Might have to suck it up though and try it on my flight to London in the spring. Not looking forward to those 12 hours.
Very fair point and I think it’s why the type of pictures you put in your bio is key. He’s not much of a club/pick a girl up at a bar kinda guy though, so aside from friend groups, it looks like apps might be his best bet.
Isn’t that why you want to limit your conversations on a dating app to some banter and then set up a date? No point wasting time messaging someone who you may or may not meet and may or may not have chemistry with.
Totally disagree about shot. It’s not black and white – you can take shots and not black out. By 25 I would assume that you’ve learned how to drink and pace yourself. If you’re out drinking for 3 hours and take 6 shots over that span, you should be fine. A shot has as much alcohol as a beer so as long as you wait a bit in between them you’ll be fine.
Serious question – is Bumble the go-to app these days? A recently single friend asking me for suggestions on what apps to us and I told him to use Tinder, Coffee Meets Bagel and Hinge. When I was using apps, I never had success with Bumble and neither has another perpetually single friend, but it seems like lots of people on here use it.
The first 3 months of the year definitely suck because it’s busy season. At least it’s much better now that I’m out of public accounting and can plan my own schedule rather than be at the whim of some overzealous 25 year old senior.
Base your budget upon the low point of your monthly income and throw the extra money money from the good months into savings to use later. The idea here is to use extra money from your good income months to balance out your bad income months into an average monthly income over a year (or some other reasonable time span).
Then, once you’ve done that, you can adjust your spending based on your average yearly (in my example) income.
Chase Sapphire Reserve. Net $150 annual fee that’s more than made up for with travel redemption rates. Combine that with a Chase Freedom for a 7.5 cent per dollar earning on quarterly rewards categories. And if you can refer a friend, that’s an easy $150 toward travel.
Awesome advice. Can’t underscore enough how valuable credit card points are, especially for travel. I just finished booking a 2 week trip to London and Paris in the spring and with the help of points I paid 30% of what I normally would’ve paid for flights and hotels.
“I dislike the Saints, but I also don’t want to play the Vikings in the Super Bowl with them having home-field advantage”
Spoken like a true cocky Pats fan. Would love to see that Jax D blow up Brady next week.
Don’t lie. You’ll never get past 28-3.

Correct.
Easy mistake to make, but this story takes place in New York, not Tuscaloosa this past Monday.

Congratulations. You’ve unlocked teleportation.

Why do you think that?
I’ve always been under the impression that as long as you’re at least a decent looking guy with a good personality, you’ll have at least some luck.

If you’re still stuck in public accounting, switch over. The grass is 100,000,000% greener.
