I admittedly have no idea what your marriage is like, but as a neutral observer, I would think that spending a relatively small amount of money to fix something that results in a very large insecurity in one of you would be a priority.
I think that people make rules because living a life without rules is fucking weird. Think about it – you’re in school from age 7 to age 22. That’s 15 years, or over two thirds of your life up to that point, that are completely structured. We simply don’t know how to live in an unstructured world because society waits until we’ve lived a quarter of our life before we experience it.
So when we hit that freedom of living a life without pre-structured rules, we freak out. We have to make up rules or pretend that rules set by arbitrary people for arbitrary people all of a sudden apply to us. For some people, it helps. For others, it doesn’t. For some, like me, it’s the middle ground. Do I want to get married? Yup. Do I want kids? Not at this point; I’m too selfish to live the rest of my life for someone else and I’m not sure whether that’ll ever change. Do I want to keep climbing the corporate ladder? Ehhhh…haven’t decided yet.
If you and your girlfriend get more serious and move in together, you’re going to have to find some middle ground to compromise. She’s going to have to not get upset at you needing alone time, while you’re going to have to force yourself to be social sometimes. It’s a very delicate territory that can be hard to navigate. It’s also a factor to determine how good of a relationship you have.
My girlfriend is the only person in the world that I don’t get tired being around. If I needed time from her like I need time from everyone else, I would think twice about the relationship.
That’s probably because it’s not a movie for everyone. It’s definitely quirky and you really have to be thinking the whole time during the movie to really understand it.
It didn’t have a good opening weekend, probably because it wasn’t advertised well at all, but hopefully now that people have seen it, word of mouth spreads!
Never understood this stigma. There’s nothing wrong with watching a movie by yourself at home so why is it different to do this at a movie theater? I went to see Annihilation with my girlfriend yesterday (side note – it’s one of the best and most original sci-fi movies I’ve seen in years) and there was a guy sitting on my left that was clearly there by himself. No one batted an eye.
Disagree. SF and Manhattan are definitely on there, but I think that a lot of other big cities have the same problem. I’m not talking about $300K+, but you basically have to make at least $100K to live comfortably in these places.
I would think that keeping up with the Joneses is more of a suburban thing.
I think I’ll pass, but hey, glad your marriage is great.
That sounds shitty

Google says average cost is $200-$500? Worth it to sacrifice a weekend of drinking for it?
Can’t you get them removed?
It’s part of the doublethink mentality of #woke people in 2018.
Or maybe he does know and chooses to support the PGP community by bashing on Duda. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.

Duda, is there anything that you like to do for fun besides bitch about life and bail on your friends after being offended by random teenagers?
I like both my bosses, but the idea of contacting either of them outside of work for something besides an “I’m sick” email weirds me out.

Hey dude, what did you think of it?

Damn I wish I shorted Snapchat before that tweet.
Agreed. I don’t have an Instagram, but looking through Dave’s was like a trip down a rabbit hole.
Nothing too exciting this weekend, except for seeing Annihilation on Sunday. That movie looks incredible and it’s getting amazing reviews. Can’t wait.
I like to think that this is how Todd proposed to Girl.
Is it cheating if you go to brunch with the girls but zone out and watch ESPN while you’re there?
