I sent my kid with another parent to a scout event (told them I was sick) the morning after a wedding. Kid told all the other parents that mom was home because she drank too much wine. Kids are cold.
Totally agree. High school serious relationship? No want or desire to stay friends. Fling in college that nearly no one knew about? I still see him at least every couple of months, and wish him and his fiance nothing but the best. He is one of my best friends, was with the first to arrive and the last to leave at my wedding, and I have nothing but very friend-like love for him. Did we ever wonder if it could have worked? Sure. Could I ever see us actually dating? Hell no. But friends we will stay.
We have our first friends weekend since February on Saturday, so I will spend tonight night cleaning my house, and tomorrow soaked in sun, friends, and booze!
My husband is the exact same. When something has upset him, he keeps it bottled up, not wanting to mention it, but outwardly showing it by being cold and distant to everyone in sight. He’s finally seeking professional help for his anxiety/depression, but it has been a long 10 years being on the receiving end of the silent treatment because of something that happened at work beyond my control.
I had to remind myself of this a couple weeks ago. Couple I went to high school with just bought a 300K house in our hometown (read: unaffordable to me for at least the next 10 years) and have the perfect 2 kid happy couple life-according to her insta. I’ll get there eventually, but shit does it suck to watch someone you envied 10 years ago move into the “dream house” you could no where near have the salary to pay for.
Bearing two children resulted in unrelenting heartburn every single night at bedtime, and after most meals, and don’t even getting me started on how bad it is after a night of drinking. Finally broke down and went to the dr to get a prescription. Taking one in AM and one before bed has made me a new woman.

Yep, I did the exact same.
Wait until you have kids. Most of my paychecks are going towards insurance and daycare.
This is a great comment.
I didn’t think I would literally gag at my desk from a PGP article today, but this was a wild ride.
I’m glad I’m not the only one.
Am I the only person that calls it the heel of the loaf? I have never heard of anyone calling it a butt.

Man, shit is really going down for you.

Wow, that really nose-dived quickly.

After just one session? Do you have to go back for follow ups? I always assumed it was this whole thing.
Really? I always assumed most guys were in camp Brazilian.
Ouch.
Same, I work in a federally funded program, so the use of tax dollars to feed employees is apparently frowned upon.

Only wrong people.
See, I was going to go the opposite there..
