While I just had started publishing content, I’ve been an avid reader for the last 4 years and this site and community really made the big bad 9-5 world seem not so big and not so bad. Through a graduation and a job change, there was always TGDAF, Worst Stories, the Mailbag, and the roast that was the comments section. My lunch breaks will never be the same. Keep in touch, both writers and readers.
I did that last summer and I highly recommend it even if you’re in good shape lifting-wise too. New way to push yourself and give your body a change up.Can definitely get you out of a rut.
I’ve only been at my current company for one year (as of Thursday actually) so I don’t have PTO to take until then really. Might have to look into that this coming year though.
I agree on the point of being cordial, but I wanted them to like me, which I view as a little different than just being cordial. You do make a good point though. And they definitely were perfectly nice before the treats (like I say in the article, I really do like everyone I work with), I just wanted to sweeten the deal a bit I suppose. Though I will say it was pure bribery with the IT guys who’s offices are next to mine. They put your sole value on how much food you bring in (and are also my favorite people in the office).
First 6 months I worked here I brought in cookies or doughnuts once a month/every 3 weeks just so that they would like me. Bribery, it works every time. They may not be my friends per se but they definitely can’t completely hate me.

I’ve even noticed more people in the 5-7 am before work crowd to be honest.
Agreed. I do mine with my dog and a sleepy pup the rest the day is absolutely perfect.

My dog is a terrier mix (mixed with lab-HA shock of a lifetime) and I’m completely invested in this story now. Love it.
Only if you’re a trash human being.
