Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, Lucy and Ethel, Cheech and Chong, Harry and Lloyd. What do they all have in common? They’re fucking hilarious, that’s what. Once again, the great gods of Hollywood are bestowing yet another movie on us with today’s female power-house duo Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
Good old Leslie Knope and Ms. Norbury will return to the big screen together in “The Nest” where the two sisters return home to find that their parents’ house is up for sale. The movie spans the weekend they spend together in the house and the ensuing “bonding, feuding, and finally growing up.” It sounds boring, I know, but with these two, it will be anything but.
Now, if you’re one of the Tina/Amy haters, GTFO. If you’ve seen any of their numerous SNL skits, Baby Mama, or even their Golden Globes performance, you know they work really well off of each other. I highly doubt this new movie will be any exception to their trend. Generally speaking, you just love to see this; women being funny and not set into one of the 2.5 roles they usually play on screen. Since these two have been doing their thang on SNL, it’s paved the way for several other women to really take on the ‘funny role’. I mean, look at Megan McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Anna Kendrick and Queen Latifah (JK LOL). Thank you Tina, thank you Amy.

I wanna do a Ashton Kutcher – Demi Moore type thing with Amy Poehler.
Yeah, Baby Mama sucked.
