I tried to warn you all that Chipotle sucks. It’s salty, unhealthy, overpriced fast food, and now you’re all paying the price for ordering your $9 steak bowls. People all over the country are getting E. coli from eating at Chipotle, and I’m going to try my best not to tell you “I told you so.”
So far, 45 people have gotten sick with E. coli and 26 are in the hospital. The states that have been affected are Washington, Oregon, California, Minnesota, New York, and Ohio.
No one knows which specific ingredient or order has caused this outbreak, but I think it’s safe to say that Chipotle is now off-limits unless an extended hospital stay is something you see in your future. Now do your taste buds a favor and get your Mexican fix at an actual restaurant that serves queso con chorizo. You deserve it..

Ate Chipotle this weekend knowing full well that the outbreak had spread to my state. The line was almost non-existent, and the rush you get from possibly poisoning yourself is worth the risk. What’s the worst the can happen, I use a few sick days and take a week off from poisoning myself via alcohol consumption? This is just fear mongering, just like the “Ebola” outbreak.
Doesn’t matter, had burrito?
This is the perfect opportunity for you if you don’t have anymore vacation time left this year. Get sick, get a few days of work off, take the extra time to plan faking your own death to avoid going back to work and to also evade your student loans because this is America and you can literally do whatever you want.
Live in MN and ate Chipotle yesterday…sure hope I don’t miss out on Wednesday the BIGGEST BAR NIGHT OF THE YEAR
Being a Native Texas, Chipotle is an insult to Mexican food. If there isn’t a language barrier, you probably aren’t eating authentic Mexican food.
Does this mean Olive Garden isn’t authentic Italian? Oh Christ, I need to go rethink my life.
It’s okay, I prefer to get my foreign food fix at outback instead.
Texan*. Autocorrect is the worst.
Woah, look at you! You must really know Mexican food if you’re from Texas! Who ever said Chipotle was authentic Mexican food? …
I’m pretty sure that I’ve never had an actual Mexican claim to be the authority on Mexican food is such a self assured way as literally every person that I’ve ever met from Texas. And it’s Chipotle we’re talking about who’s signature item isn’t even Mexican to begin with.
Sassy aren’t we?
